You've got to be kidding.......

So work today was REAL fun... NOT! yeah so before we opened the computers were down and offline and then they finally started working right as we opened the doors. Then of course our credit card/debit card and gift card machines weren't working. Everything timed out (which meant it took to long) and we had to call for voice authorizations. ALL DAY LONG! Can you imagine the wait these people had to go through just to buy simple things. I think I only had a total of 20 customers in 8.5 hours who paid with cash. NO one had cash today, but of course thats the way it is cause when something goes wrong it all has to go wrong. Thank God we didn't have to seel gift cards (not that we could anyway). Luckily we had very gracious customers and they didn't get mad when we explained why we had to call and that it wasn't because there was a problem with their card but that our systems were down. 3 hours into my shift both Amy and I had all the numbers for the credit cards memorized. Visa/Mastercard was the easiest cause all you had to do was punch in numbers but with Discover you actually had to talk and listen to it read everythihng back to you and if it picked up another voice saying something it would stop what it was reading back and start all over. American Express you had to say the total was wrong every time cause it wouldn't take the cent just dollar amounts so that was a pain int he butt.... Yeah so I had a real good day at work. Though I finally got to work with Katie and we might be hanging out with week so I am happy about that! Anyway, now I have to go run some errands for my mom.... GG is coming for a visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
